The ARP WW2 poster was designed by American graphic artist, E. McKnight Kauffer, in 1938. The strong graphic image of the poster was designed to promote the work of the A.R.P. (Air Raid Precautions) in the build up to World War Two. The A.R.P. was organised by the British government to prepare and protect civilians from the dangers of air-raids.
